Tobijs Lorbergs, Director
Tobijs has spent 27 years in construction, with the last part of that career shaped by a deliberate decision to seek out the best of it. Early on, a two-and-a-half-year stint working on heritage buildings across London gave him a first-hand education in how heritage renovation work is properly procured and delivered - knowledge that doesn't transfer easily outside hands-on experience. Returning to Melbourne, he spent several years with a leading high-end residential builder, developing the project management discipline needed to run complex builds well. He founded Beyond Form to bring both of those threads together: heritage-grade craftsmanship, delivered with the process rigour of top-tier residential construction.
Tobijs has an eye for detail and an uncompromising commitment to excellence in every project he undertakes. It is the same ethos his project and site teams carry across each build. Paired with finely tuned management techniques, he is hands-on while empowering his team to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Having refined his technical knowledge over the years, Tobijs ensures projects are completed on time, to the highest quality, and built for longevity.
